Ramón Navarro has attained mythical status as a big wave surfer. However, it’s his passion for conservation that will solidify his legacy.

The son of a fisherman, Navarro was taught to respect and protect the ocean from an early age. His love for the sea grew as he learned to surf, and, subsequently, his success as a surfer offered him a platform from which to speak out about safeguarding Chile’s coastline.

Beautifully shot, this full film from Patagonia will make you want to fight for Navarro’s cause – or at the very least, go surfing.
